Orthodontics is the process of gently moving teeth into better alignment and improving the way teeth fit together. Orthodontics may also involve modification in the development and relationship of the jaws. Ultimately, orthodontics seeks to enhance esthetics and function, thereby promoting greater dental and general wellness.
Advances in diagnostic and bio-materials technology have transformed orthodontics from what it was just twenty years ago. Increased convenience and comfort means orthodontics is far more accepted today.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic evaluation at 7 to 8 years of age. Though few children need treatment at this age, an early evaluation allows us to intercept developing problems, better assess maturation over the ensuing years, and appropriately time treatment to enhance outcomes.
An early childhood orthodontic evaluation always proves beneficial.
Adults seek treatment more often now than ever, accounting for nearly one in five new patients nationwide. Provided the teeth and supporting structures are healthy, no age limit exists for orthodontic treatment. Many adults tell us their only regret regarding orthodontic treatment is not having started sooner!
